Security shutters are a simple and attractive added security measure for your home. They can be installed over windows and doors to be used not only for the extra security but some shutters include protection from sunlight, heat and sound.

Most shutters are low maintenance and easily installed. You can either purchase manually operated or motor powered shutters. The operation of electric shutters can either be from a remote control or hard-wired and manual can be cord, spring and lock or rod crank operated.

There are two ways of installing the shutters; one is when the build is being constructed which are called built-in shutters and are built into the window frame. The second is built-on shutters which are fitted to the exterior or interior of the building and roll up and down within strong guide channels.
