With over one hundred members in the UK their role is to promote good practice with in the domestic and commercial garage door and shutter industries.

To ensure your chosen roller garage door meets European and UK legislation it is important to ensure the product has the CE mark to ensure it has met the appropriate safety standards, these include;
· The door should have inbuilt safeguards to prevent injury from a door collapse or derailment due to component failure
· Forces used during its operation should be kept to a safe level
· A roller garage door should not be able to lift children or adults from the ground during its operation.
· Installation should only be completed by trained professionals to CE-marked standards.
Members of the DMSA sign on an annual basis to agree to comply with the association’s voluntary code of conduct, however you should always ask to see proof of CE mark certification. Many customers derive extra peace of mind knowing that their chosen company is a member of the DSMA.
